Our pecan oil is a premium grade oil with many applications. It is excellent for all types of medium to high heat cooking, especially for sautéing, pan frying, braising, or even deep frying. It is also a healthy substitute for butter or other oils in baking. Top your salad or even marinade with it.
Our cold pressed and filtered pecan oil has a hint of pecan flavor, but also brings out the natural flavors of the products it is applied to. Do not be afraid to turn up the heat, since pecan oil has a smoke point of 470 degrees (Note: In some deep frying you may get a slight smoke as the oil passes through 270-300 degrees. This is from some of the natural pigments that others take out with refining.)
We recommend that you store the oil in a cool dark place once opened. This is a high grade natural oil and should be used within 10-12 weeks of opening to assure the best results.
